How to transfer money from Gcash to Maya without transaction fee?

A possible fund transfer between banks nowadays is very easy and smooth with just a single tap at your fingertips. However, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Every transaction, either offline or online, incurs fees that can be a pain. Did you know that fund transfers from Gcash to Maya are possible without losing a single cent? Currently, Gcash charges 15 Pesos for every fund transfer between banks, including Maya.

In this article, I will be sharing with you how to transfer money from GCash to Maya with no charge at all. For this activity, you will need 3 (three) mobile applications: GCash, CIMB App, and Maya Bank. 

Steps on how to transfer money from Gcash to Maya Account without transaction fee:

1. Open you Gcash App and navigate to your Gsave Icon.
2. Choose CIMB Bank and deposit the amount you want to transfer into your Maya account. NOTE: If you do not have a CIMB GSave account, create one first. If you already have an account, download the CIMB app from the Play Store and create an account by connecting your GSave account to the CIMB app.
3. Open your CIMB App and log in to your account. The amount you have deposited in your GSave account is accessible in the CIMB App. Click “Transfer” and choose “To Other Bank”. Search for “PAYMAYA/MAYA WALLET”. Input your Maya account details such as your account name and Maya account number. Click “Continue” to confirm your transaction.

4. You will receive an SMS from Maya and CIMB, but it is better to check in the app. Open Maya App to check your balance.
