Snake Plant benefits inside your Home
Snake plants, also known as Sansevieria, are stemless plants with erect leaves liked sword that are used for decoration on some occasions and are best for indoor plants like succulents. They have a combination of green and white colors on their leaves, and some are yellow and green. Snake plants are also known as Air Purifying Plants because of their ability to remove toxins like formaldehyde, xylene (C8H10), toluene, and nitrogen oxides from indoor air. In fact, they are easier to grow indoors than succulents due to their high tolerance for unfavorable environments such as lack of sunlight and water. They are hardy and require minimal care, making them ideal for those without a green thumb.
"The information states that a Snake plant is effective in producing oxygen. If you were locked in a sealed room with no airflow, you would be able to survive with just 6-8 plants in it." "NASA recommends 15 to 18 medium-to-large size plants for a 1,800 square-foot home for optimum air quality." Confirmed by the NASA spokesperson Rob Margetta told The Associated Press that they are not made these claims" - AP NEWS
Another one of the Snake Plant’s benefits is its ability to convert Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into Oxygen (O2) at night, providing you with fresh oxygen while you sleep. That is why it is highly recommended to add plant decorations to your house for better living. Most plants perform the conversion of carbon dioxide (CO2) into oxygen (O2) during photosynthesis in the daytime and consume oxygen while releasing carbon dioxide at night. However, this plant is different from them as it performs Crassulacean Acid Metabolism, not photosynthesis. The Snake Plant also helps to improve humidity levels by emitting moisture into the air. Additionally, it brings luck to your home according to Feng Shui.
