Where Can I Use a TIN ID?
A TIN ID or Tax Identification Number ID is a card issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to taxpayers. The card contains the holder’s TIN, complete name, address, picture, birthday, date of issue, and signature. At the back of the ID, there is a barcode and your full name which serves as proof that your ID is original and created within the BIR

TIN ID Uses
TIN ID is specifically used as a proof of being a taxpayer. Though it has limited uses, a TIN ID also serves as a valid ID to validate your transactions with government agencies, apply for a bank account, apply for loans, claim parcels, and verify e-wallets such as GCash or Maya Bank Inc. On the other hand, TID ID serves as a secondary ID which you cannot use for online applications such as bank account verification and loan applications to financial institutions without any supporting documents and/or primary ID.
What are the Requirements for applying TIN?
1. Complete BIR forms; Form no. 1901 for self employed; Form no. 1902 for employment; and Form no. 1904 for one time tax payers.
2. Any Government Identification Cards or documents.
3. PSA Birth Certificate or Local Civil Registration of Birth.
4. 1x1 Picture
5. Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) to be taken in your Barangay or Municipal office where you reside.
6. Marraige Contract for married women
Apply TIN even you are Unemployed
If you are unemployed, you can still apply for a TIN. All you have to do is visit the nearest Revenue District Office (RDO) and follow these steps:
1. Fill out Form 1904.
2. Submit all requirements, including Form 1904, to the RDO personnel.
3. Request an ID. Usually, the ID will be issued on the same day of the transaction. However, there may be instances of technical problems or other related issues that may delay your ID issuance.
4. After receiving your ID, make sure to sign it and attach your picture immediately.
